Brits - Conjoined twins born at the Brits District Hospital in North West are in stable condition, the hospital said on Monday.

“The clinical team at Dr George Mukhari Hospital will be meeting tomorrow [on Tuesday], however the preliminary prognosis is that the twins are sharing the liver and they are making further investigations to see what else they are sharing,” said hospital spokesperson Tshepo Mokono.

The twins, born on September 29, are joined at the abdomen.

They were transferred to the Dr George Mukhari Hospital in Ga-Rankuwa north of Pretoria for a higher level of care.
