Brits - A Somali national was killed and three others wounded when gunmen shot at them in Brits, North West police said on Wednesday.
Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the four men were attacked, allegedly by five other Somali men in a building on Tuesday afternoon.
“According to the information received, the suspects got inside a building where the victims were busy packing items and the suspects allegedly started shooting at them, thereafter ran away to abscond arrest,” she said.
“The victims were taken to Brits District Hospital and one of them died on arrival. There is no arrest and a case of murder and three attempted murders were registered. The motive behind the shooting is unknown.”
The five were driving a black Ford Focus with no registration number, said Moleko.
