London - Jeremy Clarkson’s Twitter account has been hijacked by a hacker posting a link to a weight-loss website. Not one to take things lying down, the Top Gear presenter has vowed to track down the culprit.
Paraphrasing a quote from Liam Neeson thriller Taken, he tweeted: “I have been hacked by spammers. Luckily I have acquired a special set of skills over many years. I will find them. And I will kill them.”
Computer security expert Graham Cluley said Clarkson, who has 1.3 million followers, “either had his password phished, guessed or cracked, or granted a rogue third-party application rights to post from his account”.
The cyber attack came on the same day that Burger King had its Twitter account hacked by a McDonald’s fan. - Daily Mail
