Cape Town - Table Mountain has become one of the Seven Wonders of Nature!
The official inauguration of the mountain will be held on December 1 and 2 to celebrate a campaign in which Table Mountain beat the Great Barrier Reef, Kilimanjaro National Park and the Grand Canyon to be one of the seven wonders of the natural world.
Table Mountain drew in more than 100 million votes from 220 countries.
The first part of the inauguration will be held at the foot of Table Mountain.
Guests will include the New 7 Wonders foundation, delegates from the other six sites – Amazon, South America; Halong Bay, Vietnam; Iguazu Falls, Argentina; Jeju Island, South Korea; Komodo, Indonesia, and the Puerto Princesa Underground River, Philippines – and members of the Table Mountain official supporters committee. - Cape Argus
