Johannesburg – Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has been admitted to a Johannesburg hospital, the South African Football Association (Safa) have confirmed.
"Initial tests showed that the Bafana coach might be suffering from appendicitis," Safa said in a statement on Wednesday.

Dr Ephraim Nematswerani, who was attending to Igesund, believed the national coach might have appendicitis.
"Thorough and further investigations are being carried out to confirm the diagnosis," Nematswerani said.
"We are, however, confident that he will be back on his feet soon. It is nothing too serious."
Igesund was appointed as Bafana coach in June last year, and guided hosts South Africa to the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations this month.
