Pretoria – Seven wickets by debutant Kyle Abbott helped South Africa dismiss Pakistan for 156 and enforce the follow-on in the third and final Test in Centurion on Saturday.

Roped in at the last minute, after Jacques Kallis strained his calf in the nets, Abbot took 2/16 in his first spell and 5/11 in his second, to justify the selectors' faith in him.

His 7/27 was the second-best bowling figures for a South African on debut after Lance Klusener took 8/64, in the second innings, against India in Calcutta.

At one stage, Abbott was on a hat-trick.

For his fourth wicket, Sarfraz Ahmed was caught by Graeme Smith at first slip and, in what looked like an action replay, Saeed Ajmal went out for same way off his next delivery.

Pakistan's own debutant Ehsan Adil managed to block the third ball.

After South Africa were all out for 409 before lunch, Pakistan had an uphill battle to make the hosts bat again. – Sapa
