Johannesburg - The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) said it will on Monday hold a national list conference, where the final list of councillors and party representatives for the local government elections would be adopted.

The EFF launched its election manifesto in April in Soweto, where it promised “people centred” municipalities if it wins the local government elections.

The EFF was founded by at least 1 200 delegates in Soweto 2013 where the radical and ultra left political party was formed, led by Julius Malema.

The August 3 polls would be its first local government elections after it got more than a million votes in the 2014 general elections.
