Pretoria -

The trial of two men accused of murdering a Pretoria woman was postponed in the city's High Court on Monday.

The State was unable to secure an interpreter before the end of the day.

“We tried and we couldn't get him,” prosecutor Gerrie Nel said.

Earlier, former Nigerian Olympic athlete Ambrose Monye and Andre Gouws pleaded not guilty to five charges relating to Chanelle Henning's murder.

The four other charges were conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to procure an illegal firearm and ammunition, possession of an illegal firearm, and possession of illegal ammunition.

The 26-year-old mother was shot dead while driving in Faerie Glen in Pretoria East on November 8, 2011, shortly after dropping off her child at a creche.

The trial will resume at 9am on Tuesday. - Sapa
