Johannesburg - The family of former president Nelson Mandela has launched a fashion label inspired by the title of Mandela's biography, Long Walk To Freedom, The Times reported on Thursday.

Mandela's daughter Zenani Mandela-Dlamini and her children said the label was not competing with the 46664 brand.

“We're not worried. Our brand is different. Ours is a family brand and we're not in competition with 46664,” Mandela-Dlamini's daughter Swati told the newspaper at the label's launch in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

The Long Walk To Freedom Clothing label, would be available over the internet.

Mandela-Dlamini, and her children Swati, Zaziwe, Zozuko, and Zinhle, began working on the project two years ago, according to the newspaper. - Sapa
