London - They’re corny songs with big lyrics that we secretly belt out while alone, and topping the chart of guilty pleasures is Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

Bonnie Tyler’s power ballad is the song most likely to get people singing at the top of their voices when they hear it, whether it is in the shower, the car or, perhaps with a bit of dutch courage, at a karaoke night.

Nearly one in six (18 percent) of 2000 people named it as a guilty pleasure they just cannot resist, in a survey by music sharing app Muzeit.

Second place is Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’, with the Bee Gees and Stayin’ Alive in third.

The rest of the top ten included:

4. 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton;

5. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham!;

6. Reach by S Club 7.

7. Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley;

8. Africa by Toto;

9. You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) by Dead Or Alive;

10. I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ by Scissor Sisters.
